We depart from Hanoi at 7:30 AM. The morning drive takes us nearly 4 hours, through the fertile Red River Delta and onward into the hilly area after Thai Nguyen City. The scenery along the way is beautiful with rice and other cereal fields, dotted with stilt-house villages. There will be some stops on the way for taking photographs. Arrive at Quynh Son village by noon. A Vietnam lunch will be severed at a local stilt house. This is not only a chance to enjoy the local food but also a good time to interact with the host family. 

After lunch and a short rest, we will take a short stroll around the village to learn the daily life of the Tay ethnic minority. Get picked up by car on the way and transferred to the foot of a mountain where the cell phone tower situated atop. Thence, we start climbing up to the summit for admiring the dramatic panorama of the valley. Getting back down and walk to the homestay for refreshing, rest and dinner. Overnight at the homestay.

DAY 02: BAC SON - HANOI
After the traditional breakfast, this morning we will embark on a 3,5-hour hike on a rural back road. Along the hike, you can have a close look at the local farming, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere in a good harmony of mountains, forests and local life. At the end of the hike we get picked up by our private transport back to the family. After lunch, we will drive back to Hanoi. 

Arrive in Hanoi in between 4. 30 and 5.00 PM. End of service.

Important Notes:

• In case of bad weather or physical condition, the alternative activities to the mountain hike can be walking around the villages, to the rice fields or embarking a gentle bicycling tour around this beautiful valley. 
• At homestay, we do have white clean mattress covers and soft clean pillows, hot shower and Western style toilet. If you don’t want to stay at the homestay, the alternative is staying at a basic guest house in the nearby town. Please let us know your choice at the booking time.
